Nishimura BANK
Dr. Susumu Nishimura was a pioneer in the field of molecular biology research. He made significant contributions to our understanding of the genetic code, tRNA modifications, and DNA damage-derived bases. He remained affiliated with his laboratory and continued his research with undiminished passion until late in life. He passed away in 2022 at the age of 92.Dr. Nishimura retained valuable research materials. At the request of his family and Dr. Norihiro Okada, these materials have been designated the Nishimura Bank and will be distributed free of charge to researchers who wish to use them.
